Beta version 1.0
Privacy Notice
Draft based on the pilot’s documented privacy requirements. Suitable for owner/legal review before external launch.
What the pilot collects
The pilot collects information needed to provide invitation-only accounts and prediction features:
- Email address for sign-in and account administration.
- Display name for the public leaderboard and participant identity.
- Adult eligibility confirmation, accepted terms version, and acceptance time.
- A hashed invitation code, redemption information, and account identifier.
- Slate submissions, selected answers, Call Your Shot designation, submission and lock times, published probabilities, settled outcomes, and derived scores.
- Limited security and audit-event information needed to review submission and administrative changes.
The pilot does not request date of birth, postal address, precise location, payment details, health data, or unrelated profile information. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth when enabled; in local development, only a password verifier is stored.
What is visible
Your email, authentication record, and invitation redemption details are private and limited to account administration. Your display name, aggregate prediction and score information, and leaderboard standing are visible to other participants. Other participants do not see your individual picks before you submit. After your submission, the pilot reveals aggregate crowd percentages.
Independence and identification
You Call It is an independent entertainment product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any professional sports league, team, player, broadcaster, sportsbook, or data provider. Geographic identifiers and player names are used only for informational identification.
This non-affiliation wording is a draft for owner/legal review and is not legal advice.
Access and protection
Invitation administration, result settlement, database administration, backups, and audit records are restricted to authorized operators. The application avoids placing emails, passwords, invitation codes, or individual predictions in logs or error reports.
Retention
- Audit events are retained for no more than 90 days.
- Invitations expire 30 days after generation; expired invitation records are removed within 30 days after expiry.
- Database backups are to be configured to expire within 35 days; the hosting provider’s settings must be confirmed before launch.
- Retention cleanup is run manually and is not automatically scheduled by the application.
- At beta close, remaining non-administrator accounts and linked data are to be deleted within 30 days. Any retained aggregate results must be detached from participant identity first.
Account deletion
You can delete your account from Account settings after re-entering your password. The process removes the Auth identity, email, profile and display name, invitation account link, predictions, scores, submissions, and account-linked audit events. Existing question settlement history is not account-linked participant data.
This Beta version 1.0 wording requires owner/legal review before external launch.
